The images on this page were illustrated by me, José Grave de Peralta, for a collection of short stories written by  Rutgers University professor emeritus Ricardo J. Aguiar -- who also served  as first secretary of the Cuban Embassy in West Germany during the 1950s. In these 20 short stories, published in 1987 by Ediciones Universal (Miami), Aguiar shows the tragic effects of the Cuban revolution on every level of the island's society.
